 The basis is the active ingredient DEET (NN-diethyl-m-toluamide), which is considered the most effective active ingredient in the field of insect repellent. DEET is also found in insect repellants that can be purchased at the pharmacy, especially for tropical travel. The active ingredient keeps insects off for a long time: mosquitoes, horseflies, mites, ticks and fleas. DEET was developed by the US Army back in 1946. DEET is supposed to prevent the insects from even perceiving a potential host.

 The spray is packaged in a new spray bottle technology called Equimist 360. This new technology enables a completely new way of handling insect repellent sprays from Carr & Day & Martin. The bottles can be used upside down, which allows easy spraying of otherwise hard-to-reach areas. The ergonomic special spray button works almost noiselessly and is therefore ideally suited for horses that view the spraying critically. There are no product residues in the bottle, the manufacturer promises that it can be used optimally down to the last drop.
